A local group is looking to establish the city’s third microbrewery at a location on Nicholson Street.
The Deadfall Brewing Company has applied for a liquor licence and rezoning to establish a brewery and 30-seat lounge at 1733 Nicholson St. On June 28, city council approved first and second reading of the rezoning bylaw, and the matter is slated to go to a public hearing which has not yet be scheduled.
According to the company’s website, Deadfall Brewing is looking to open in late 2021.
“We will focus on sustainably producing hand-crafted beer in small batches with an emphasis on quality over quantity,” the company’s website says. “We hope to create classic yet remarkable beers alongside interesting and creative beers that you can include in your memorable moments.”
The proposed location for the brewery is in a strip mall which already includes Brewmasters Craft Brewery and Northvines Craft Winery.
