Prince George certainly knows how to go all out during the spookiest time of the year.
As Halloween approaches, we’ve rounded up everything we can find going on in town!
That way you have time to pick out your costume, round up some friends and have a happy Halloween!
These events are in no particular order – so check ‘em all out!
Halloween Spooktacular at the Huble Homestead
Enter the homestead...if you dare! This bone-chilling, hair-raising event is taking place over two days, giving those who feel up to the challenge another opportunity to venture north to the homestead! Find a flashlight, make sure your footwear is waterproof, and put together a costume warm enough for an evening at Prince George's spookiest Halloween haunt! Admission is by donation but guided tours through the house of horrors are $3.50 per person or $12 for a group of four.
When and Where: Oct 25 and Oct. 26 starting at 3 p.m. at the Huble Homestead.
Halloween Haunted Journey at the Columbus Community Centre
Dance through the cakewalk, survive the haunted house, view the mad scientists in his lab and enjoy games activities at this family-friendly event. Tickets are $3 per person and proceeds go towards the CHCA Halloween Fireworks show.
When and Where: Saturday, Oct. 26 at the Columbus Community Centre from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Barkerville’s Ghostly Halloween
Test your fate with a walk through Barkerville’s haunted house, go trick-or-treating up Front Street at some of the local merchants, and warm up at the Halloween Bonfire.
Where and When: Oct. 25 and Oct. 27 at Barkerville Historic Town and Park
PG Haunted Maze
If you’re brave enough you’ll want to go to the PG Haunted Maze at the CN Centre Fairgrounds in the 4H Barn! Entry is by donation and all donations will be going to St. Vincent de Paul. Medium scared will take place from 6 p.m. to 7:30 and extreme scares from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Where and When: Oct. 18, 19, 25, 26, 31 (Kids Days are Oct. 20 and 27 at 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.) at the CN Centre Fairgrounds.
Theatre Northwest’s Dracula
This Halloween Theatre Northwest is presenting Dracula: The Bloody Truth by John Nicholson and Le Navet Bete. It’s a hysterical and thrilling comedy perfect for Halloween. But the shoe does include some strong language and adult themes so the recommended age is 14 and older. The show will be running from Oct .24 until Nov. 10.

Menagerie: Zombie Beach Party
Menagerie: Zombie Beach Party, is the ninth incarnation of an annual fundraising event hosted by Two Rivers Gallery. This event is much more than a costume party for adults. There will be live entertainment, exhilarating games, and excellent prizes to be won. A selection of cocktails, wine and Crossroads Brewing beer will be available from the Blue Lagoon Bar. Appetizers can be devoured throughout the night while you bid against friends and foes in the Silent Auction, for a chance to win marvellous treasures. Tickets range from $40 to $55 dollars.
Where and When: Saturday, Oct. 26 at Two Rivers Art Gallery with doors opening at 8 p.m.
Creepy Crawly Halloween at the Legion
This is a Creepy Crawly Halloween bash at the Prince George Legion with music by local talent Flying Machine, Prince George’s best Surf Rock Black Sabbath cover band Children of the Wave, and the one-man-band The Brain Porter. Wear a costume and bring $10 for the cover charge.
Where and When: Saturday, Oct. 26 at the Prince George Royal Canadian Legion (1116 6th Ave.) with doors at 8 p.m.
Bling Out Your Dead at the Black Clover
Dress to impress in your unique costumes – but with a twist- dress in your best BLING! This Halloween event will feature a stacked line up of DJ’s including DJ Nige and Ricky Business. There are only 150 tickets up for grabs and they are available at ONE Boardshop.
Where and When: Saturday, Oct. 26 at 1165 Fifth Ave. (Upstairs Black Clover) and doors open at 9 p.m.
Haunted House in Pineview
Take a break from trick-or-treating this Halloween and visit the Pineview Haunted House. They will have a full concession, hot chocolate and candy bags. Groups of volunteers will create a family-friendly, good for all ages, spooky haunted house! It takes place on Halloween itself and is hosted by the Pineview Recreation Commission.
Where and When: Thursday, Oct. 31 from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at 6470 Bendixon Rd.
Halloween at Gamescape
Do you want to play games this Halloween? At Gamescape anyone in costume will get a free candy of their choice. There will also be Halloween movies playing on the projector and all of the TVs and computers will be set up with zombie, horror and Halloween themed games. You can play games like Left 4 Dead, Until Dawn, Dead Rising, Dead Space, Resident Evil and more! Bring some cash though because it costs $5 per hour.
Where and When: Thursday, Oct. 31 from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Gamescape Multiplayer Gaming (1511 Lyon St.)
College Heights Fireworks
The College Heights Community Association is hosting its annual Halloween Fireworks show. It’s also the 30th anniversary! Head up to College Heights Secondary School to watch the sky light up. The show will run from 8:15 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Where and When: Thursday, Oct. 31 at College Height Secondary School (6180 Domano Blvd.) at 8:15 p.m.
Metallion Festival Halloween Party at the Legion
Five bands are coming together for this Halloween party. You can catch Tides of Kharon from Edmonton, Deveined from PG, Atavistia from Vancouver, Hellsmen from Prince George, and Crucible Of Scorn at this show. Costumes are encouraged! Doors are at 8 p.m and tickets are $15 dollars in advance or $20 at the door.
Where and When: Friday, Oct. 25 at the Prince George Royal Canadian Legion (1116 6th Ave.) with doors at 8 p.m.
Halloween at the Dome
Join hundreds of Halloween and party fanatics at one of the biggest Halloween Parties in Northern B.C. Blake Productions will bow your mind with sick sound, crazy lights and visual effects! You can expect to be entertained by DJ Masn, Hendrix and Joe Latino. The first 500 tickets are $20 and available at the UNBC Winter Garden or the Roll-A-Dome.
Where and When: Saturday, Oct. 26 at the Roll-A-Dome (2588 Recplace Dr.) doors open at 9:30 p.m.
Nightmare on Sonar Street
Sonar Comedy and Night Club is hosting its annual festive bash. This year’s Halloween party is based around iconic scary characters. There will be prizes for best dressed! Tickets are $10 in advance (available online or at UNBC or CNC) or $15 at the door.
Where and When: Saturday, Oct. 26 at Sonar Pub and Club (1466 Third Ave.) doors open at 10 p.m.
Halloween Bash at Omineca Arts Centre
Omineca Arts Centre is hosting an all-ages Halloween show. The Razones, a Ramones cover band will headline the show followed by Famous Monsters and Palmerston. Doors will open at 8 p.m. and the show will start at 9 p.m. with a $10 cover.
Where and When: Saturday, Oct. 19 at Omineca Arts Centre (369 Victoria Street) at 8 p.m.
