House fire on 11th Avenue in Prince George Friday morning

There was a house fire in the 1700 block of 11^th Avenue early Friday morning that Prince George Fire Rescue responded to at about 3 a.m.

There was heavy smoke and flame coming from an unoccupied addition to the residence when firefighters from three halls responded to the call from RCMP.

Fire crews initiated a rapid attack and kept the fire from spreading to the rest of the house.

There were no injuries reported.

Cause of the fire is under investigation.

Damage is estimate at $65,000.
