Hunting with Holmes: Check out these treasures found at Prince George Hospice Resale Shop

Holy Snappin' Turtles!
Hunting with Holmes - Aug. 14, 2020 Prada wallet
Yes, even an honest-to-goodness Prada wallet can be found in Prince George. (via Amanda Holmes for Prince George Hospice Resale Shop)

It’s been a crazy busy week in the thrifting world.

So busy that I completely missed writing last week. Whoops! (I apologize to all five of my adoring fans. Lol!)

I’m learning you guys, and I’m learning a lot at a very fast pace. I’ve said it so many times now, this is a fascinating world of bargain hunter meets community support.

It’s addicting, and once you get into it you’ll understand why thrifting is a modern-day treasure hunt.

Case in point... I went to our downtown store to drop off some things and have a visit with our staff.

One of our staff members brings me a wallet and says she’s done some research on it.

YOU GUYS!! It’s a PRADA wallet!!

Now if you aren’t a brand shopper or you just don’t care, Prada is a very, very expensive brand of women’s accessories and clothing.

Usually worn on the bodies of celebrities in Hollywood. Not typically found in a Hospice resale store in Prince George.

But here we are with a genuine Prada wallet that will certainly bring a nice donation in for our Hospice house.

How do I know it’s a legit Prada you ask?

Well, because our awesome staff member googled, “How to tell a genuine Prada from a fake?”

Go ahead and google it so you know... then check out our auction group on Facebook “Worth Repeating Auction,” if you’d like to bid on the said wallet.

You just never know what’s going to walk in the door, show up in a box or come out of a bag when you work in the thrift world.

It’s exciting watching everyday items bring love and support to such a wonderful cause.

We are so blessed to have a world-class Hospice House here in Prince George. Especially one run by so many amazing and dedicated human beings.

And I speak for myself and my team in the resale stores, when I say we are honoured to be a part of it all.

Lastly, a massive thank you and virtual squeeze to everyone who has ever donated, shopped in our stores, or bid in our Facebook auction.

We need your love and support to continue being one of the most respected charities here in our hometown of Prince George.
