A Prince George man was sentenced to 270 days in jail and issued a 10-year driving prohibition for three counts of driving while disqualified under the Criminal Code.

Timothy Donald Munroe, 42, was issued the sentence Wednesday in Prince George provincial court for incidents in October 2010, November 2011 and January 2012.

Munroe was apprehended at a Gunn Road home on Feb. 8, two days after a B.C.-wide warrant was issued for his arrest for the Jan. 27 incident where police alleged he was driving a stolen vehicle. The jail term also covers a conviction for possession of stolen property from the same event.

The three convictions raise to 15 the number of times Munroe has been convicted of driving while disqualified or prohibited. Munroe, who had remained in custody since his arrest, was also sentenced to one year probation.
