A parolee who went on the lam in Kelowna in Kelowna was tracked down in Quesnel Friday.

Aaron Craig Sutherland, 33, was arrested by the Quesnel RCMP after being wanted on a Canada-wide warrant. He failed to report to his halfway house in Kelowna on Jan. 19.

"[He] has a history of assaults, property offenses, fleeing police, drug offenses, dangerous driving, failure to comply offenses and one sexual assault conviction," said Sgt. Ann Morrison of the Kelowna RCMP. "He is considered an opportunistic chronic offender with a serious drug addiction."

Sutherland had been an inmate in the federal institution at Kent.
