An 18-year-old man is in custody and no injuries were reported after an armed robbery this afternoon (Oct. 23).
Prince George RCMP say an investigation is ongoing after they were called to a commercial business near Fifth Avenue and Carney Street around 1:15 p.m.
In a release, police explain, before they were called to the scene, initial indications were a man produced a knife, demanded cash, then fled on foot.
The suspect was eventually found in under an hour, 2 p.m., two blocks over at Third Avenue and Carney Street after a dog services team and several frontline officers were called to help.
The Prince George RCMP are thanking those for the public that helped with today's investigation.
