The Prince George Public Library Board, Tourism Prince George Society board of directors and City of Prince George Board of Variance are seeking volunteers to join their boards.
The Prince George Public Library Board is seeking one volunteer to fill a vacancy until Nov. 30 this year. The board meets monthly and oversees the operation of the Prince George Public Library. More information about the board and the position is available online.
The Tourism Prince George Society board of directors is seeking two volunteers to serve a two-year term, starting in April. The board meets six times per year, and sets the strategic direction for Tourism Prince George. More information about the board and positions are available online.
The City of Prince George is seeking five volunteers to sit on the city’s board of variance for three-year terms, starting in April. The board considers requests by property owners to vary zoning bylaw requirements, where compliance with the bylaw would create undue hardship. The board meets on a as-needed basis.
More information about the volunteer opportunity can be found online.
The deadline to apply for all three boards is March 16 at 5 p.m. Residents can apply by filling out the application form online, or by contacting the city’s legislative services division by emailing [email protected] or phoning 250-561-7792.
