Man dies after car collides with moose

A 38-year-old Vanderhoof man is dead after his car hit a moose on Highway 16 west near Telechick Road on Saturday. The man was transported to the University of Northern British Columbia Hospital where he remained in critical condition.

A 38-year-old Vanderhoof man is dead after his car hit a moose on Highway 16 west near Telechick Road on Saturday.

The man was transported to the University of Northern British Columbia Hospital where he remained in critical condition. As a direct result of injuries sustained in the crash, the man died in hospital Sunday afternoon.

The police continue their investigation. The name of the man is being withheld at this time, pending notification of next of kin.
