A 35-year-old man is missing after a boating incident in Fraser Lake over the May long weekend.
According to North District RCMP, Jason Bouchard has not been seen since he and a friend went boating on the Stellako River on Saturday (May 16) between 10 and 11 p.m.
Police say it’s believed the boat overturned, sending Bouchard and his friend into the river.
A person made it safely to shore and a 12-foot aluminum boat was found, but there’s been no sight of Bouchard.
Police Dog Services from Prince George to help Fraser Lake Mounties attempt to find Bouchard, along with Vanderhoof Search and Rescue and RCMP Air Support.
If you see Bouchard or have any other information, you’re encouraged to call your local detachment.
The missing persons report was filed before 11 a.m. on Sunday (May 17).
