A spot on Highway 97 where a sinkhole emerged will remain single-lane alternating for some time yet.
Materials have been ordered and repair work should start in about a week at the location 22 kilometres south of Bear Lake, a Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure spokesperson said Friday.
"Depending on weather conditions, repairs should take about a week to complete and single lane alternating traffic will continue during that time," Ryan Jabs said in an e-mail.
Initially, about six metres deep before some remediation work was carried out, the sinkhole was created Wednesday when a culvert separated in the southbound lane.
