More air quality testing in the city has shown formaldehyde levels below provincial limits.
The test results were released by the Prince George Air Improvement Roundtable on Wednesday.
The testing on July Aug. 6 and 17-19 at two different locations showed one-hour levels all below 3.3 micrograms per cubic metres, well below the provincial standard of 60 micrograms per cubic metre.
The testing on Aug. 6 took place at Gladstone school in College Heights, while the remainder of the testing took place on the roof of the Plaza 400 roof.
Results for other chemicals were either below detection limits or very low.
The samples were collected by B.C. Environment staff and analyzed at the University of B.C. in Vancouver.
The air-sampling is a response to high levels of formaldehyde reported during tests taken in July and August 2008 in the Millar Addition neighbourhood located adjacent to Fort George Park. Previous testing this summer in the Millar Addition has also shown formaldehyde levels below provincial limits.
To date, 12 samples have been taken including those released Wednesday.
