Thousands of Prince George residents are currently without power this evening (Feb. 19).
BC Hydro says a motor vehicle accident has resulted in more than 5,800 customers left in the dark.
The outages are mainly west of Highway 97 towards the Heritage, Foothills and Miworth areas, including the UNBC campus and Northern Sport Centre.
A list of affected areas are as follows:
- North of 22 Avenue, East of Foothills Boulevard, West of Highway 97 , South of Crieff Place
- 3,041 customers impacted
- West of Ospika Boulevard, South of Nechako Road
- 1,420 customers impacted
- North of 22 Avenue, East of University Way, South of Parsnip Crescent, West of Harper Drive
- 776 customers impacted
- West of 22 Avenue, North of University Way, South of Eaglenest Crescent
- 319 customers impacted
- West of Upland Street, East of University Way, North of Ellington Avenue, South of Fraser Crescent
- 309 customers impacted
