Everyone is safe and injury-free after a fire broke out at an apartment building yesterday (Feb. 9).

Prince George Fire Rescue say a fire caused a complex at 1438 Queensway to evacuate shortly after 1 p.m. on Sunday after finding smoke coming from its underground parking lot entrance.

Engine Companies first arrived before firefighters from four different halls got to the scene.

They found dark black smoke and crews quickly contained the flames to the vehicle.

After leaving the structure without incident, residents were able to return inside until all residual smoke was cleared.

The estimated cost of damages to the vehicle and what caused the incident are unknown at this time.
