Whatever sparked Wednesday morning's fire at Lombardy Trailer Park is suspicious, according to preliminary investigations by Prince George Fire Rescue.

Three mobile homes in the Norwood Street neighbourhood were destroyed by flames.

Sixteen firefighters from three halls responded to the blaze shortly before 5:45 a.m., where they found extensive smoke and flames coming from two homes. A third was destroyed as crews tried to suppress the fire.

All structures were vacant and no injuries were reported, with early damage estimate of about $12,000.

Firefighters were on scene until noon putting out hot spots and investigators will remain to figure out a definite cause.
