B.C. NDP leader John Horgan is taking a week-long camping trip where he'll be cruising in an RV from Prince Rupert to Prince George from Aug. 17-23.
He will be taking the time to meet people from northern B.C. as he travels Highway 16, spending his night in campgrounds, according to a press release.
Stops include Prince Rupert, Terrace, Hazelton, Smithers, Burns Lake, Vanderhoof and Prince George.
Horgan plans to meet with local governments, business owners and community leaders.
"This week, I'm joining the thousands of British Columbians who are hitting the road to see more of our beautiful province this summer," said Horgan.
He'll also meet with members of the Lax 'Kw'aalams and Gitanmaax First Nations.
He'll visit 'Ksan Historic Village and Dawamuukw Smoke House, check out the Nechako Valley Exhibition, camp in Prudhomme Lake and Tyhee Lake provincial parks, and throw the first pitch at a game during the Ramada World Baseball Challenge in Prince George.
