Prince George residents will soon have the chance to hear directly from Canada's Official Opposition leader.
Next month, Erin O'Toole is set to be the guest of a virtual discussion hosted by the Prince George Chamber of Commerce (PGCC).
According to the event's description, the 'fireside chat' is aimed to address the future of business during and beyond the COVID-19 pandemic.
O'Toole is expected to provide the Tories' viewpoint on how it could shape the country's economic state moving forward.
A quick biography of O'Toole is as follows:
- Took Conservative Party of Canada helm following the 2020 leadership election, earning 57 per cent of ballots cast
- Originally born in Montreal, moved to Ontario at age nine
- Represents Durham (Ontario) federal riding, which he's won the last three elections (2012, 2015, 2019)
- Served 12 years with Royal Canadian Air Force (1991-2003), holds rank as 'Captain'
- Graduated with a law degree from Dalhousie University in 2003
The PGCC's virtual discussion is set for May 7 from 12 to 1 p.m.
