Need to get rid of that old pumpkin after Halloween? Here's a worthwhile way.

The Exploration Place is hosting its annual Rotten Pumpkin Fundraiser to help boost programs at the non-profit organization.

For $3 per pumpkin, you can have yours catapulted across the Exploration Place parking lot from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1, which will then be composted.

It is asked that all glass, toothpicks or other sharp objects be removed for safe flinging.

While you wait, you can also purchase a hot dog or drink.

The event is weather dependent and the Exploration Place parking lot will be closed all day for the event as well as post-event cleanup.

If you are wanting pumpkin remains, you can bring your own container(s) to fill.

You are asked to check-in with a staff member once you arrive (you can find them in orange toques).

On Our Radar is just a thing we do when we're looking forward to an event or think the public should be aware of it. Think you have something for it? Email us at [email protected].
