Ever wanted to try out the sport of biathlon?

It's one of many activities on tap during the Caledonia Nordic Ski Club’s Nordic Winter Festival.

There will be free trail passes for Otway all day and plenty of things for the whole family to enjoy. You can take an introductory ski lesson, snowshoe tour, a waxing demo, or try out biathlon.

If you get hungry after all the fun and need to warm up, you can grab hot dogs and hot chocolate at the gravel pit.

Make sure you bring cash to register for the events you want to partake in and get there early because rental equipment is available on a first-come-first-serve basis.

The Nordic Winter Festival takes place Sunday, Jan. 13 and the registration table will be open from 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Registration will take place in the rental shop.

The event is happening at the Otway Nordic Ski Centre, at 8141 Otway Rd.
