Operation Red Nose is asking for party-goers looking for safe rides home to be patient tonight.
Because of the high volume of demand the 25 teams offering rides by donation are only taking people home who live within city limits.
Those who need a safe ride home for them and their vehicle can call 250-962-7433 between 9 p.m. and 4 a.m.
This season Operation Red Nose has offered eight nights of service so far and provided 802 rides thanks to the help of 200 volunteers.
Last year on new year's eve 24 teams provided 66 rides, while 24 teams provided 172 rides in 2016.
Last year there were 838 rides provided over nine nights during the merry-making season and in 2016 there were 872 rides provided during 10 nights.
Operation Red Nose is provided by the Rotary Club of Prince George Nechako in partnership with ICBC and the Prince George RCMP.
