A Prince George pastor is lucky to survive hitting a moose on his way home from Quesnel along Highway 97.
Pastor Tim Osiowy of the Gateway Christian Ministry was about 40 kilometers north of Quesnel when a bull moose dashed out of the ditch in to the middle of the road, leaving Osiowy little time to respond.
"Just boom, he was out onto the highway, I didn't have a chance. What could I do? There were ditches 12 feet deep on either side, and in the few seconds I had to think, I knew I didn't want to swerve.
