One pot shop in Prince George has a target date to open its doors.
Grasshopper Retail Inc. (non-government owned) tells PrinceGeorgeMatters they have a goal of opening in June, but if that isn't doable, they're hoping Canada Day long weekend at the latest.
Owner and President Sandy Przysieny says renovations, which can be seen from outside, are going slowly but moving in the right direction, including brand new windows, doors being installed, and finishing flashing today (April 18).
She adds the frosting needs to be added on the windows and wall panelling is currently being installed inside.
The company also already has orders placed for a POS system, display cases, and cabinets, which are all on order as well.
Grasshopper Retail Inc. identified the location back in December of 2017 and secured, while also paying a lease since Aug. 1, 2018, at 421 George St.
The company says received 11 letters in support from local businesses in the area.
Grasshopper Retail Inc. was officially given the go-ahead at a council meeting on April 8.
