Photos: Hoop-A-Thon brings in big shooters from UNBC Timberwolves

Proceeds go to community programs helping at-risk youth and other charities

Several members of the UNBC Timberwolves basketball teams — and a recruit from a local high school — joined other Rotary supporters for a fun basketball-related fundraiser Saturday, April 6 at Duchess Park Secondary School.

The Rotary Hoop-A-Thon invites people to try to sink as many baskets as they can in one minute, with pledges based on their score.

On Saturday, some of the university's ace shooters lined up, hitting more than two dozen baskets over 60 seconds apiece.

The Hoop-A-Thon raises money for community projects and programs for various charities and at-risk youth in Prince George.
