On Monday, Prince George-based Integris Credit Union announced it had acquired Advantage Insurance Services Ltd. located in McBride.
The brokerage will be converted to an Integris Insurance Services Ltd. office – the sixth in north-central B.C.
“We are founded on the cooperative principles, and supporting community and the local economy is something Integris has a 75-year history of doing and doing well,” Integris CEO Alison Hoskins said in a statement released Monday. “We are so excited to welcome McBride to our Integris service region.”
Advantage Insurance Services has served McBride for 27 years, and the existing staff will stay on with Integris. Owner Rosemary Hruby is nearing retirement and sold the company.
