There seems to be a national day for everything and today (Oct. 29) is National Cat Day!

To celebrate, we are highlighting some of the cats currently available for adoption at Prince George shelters.

BC SPCA North Cariboo District Branch:

Bruce

Two-year-old male domestic short hair

Bruce is a social outgoing fellow, loves to explore and get lots of attention.

When he isn’t on the go, he likes to curl up for a nap on his big comfy blanket.

Esther

Eshter(via BC SPCA)

Seven-month-old female domestic shorthair.

Esther is socially awkward, but when she is in a safe place she enjoys being petted and eating treats.

Open spaces make her nervous but she is getting better with them.

A home without young children or a big dog would be best, but another kitty friend would be great!

Prince George Humane Society:

Butsy

Busty(via Prince George Humane Society)

Butsy is a neutered male who loves attention.

He is very talkative and loves being cuddled, pet, and played with.

Butsy would do best as a barn cat, as he has a frequent habit of urinating outside of the litterbox.

Despite Butsy's flaws, he is an amazing outgoing cat who is looking for his fur-ever home!

Noble

Noble is a one-year-old male cat.

He is super cuddly, loving, sweet and clearly photogenic.

Noble enjoys being picked up, held, and cuddled.

He is a very kind and gentle cat who gets along amazingly with other cats too.

Noble is looking for his fur-ever home, as well as a cuddle buddy!

Possum

Possum is a 3.5-year-old female cat, who likes to lay around and relax.

She was a mother to a litter of kittens and is now looking for her fur-ever home.

Possum ideally would do great in a relaxed environment as she herself likes to lay around a lot.

Despite the fact that possum is a chill cat, she also loves attention and would be the perfect cuddle buddy for anyone who loves cuddling just as much as she does.

PG Animal Rescue:

Many of the cats rescued by PG Animal Rescue go directly to Bosley's Pets where the cats receive far more exposure to the public than they would out at the rescue.

This enables them to find new loving homes much quicker and opens up spots for others needing rescue.

Linx

Five-year-old male. Linx is big and bold!

He does not like dogs, but does fine with other cats.

He loves attention and will seek it out whenever he can! He is a personality plus! Linx is currently at the Bosley’s location in Williams Lake.

If you are looking to add a cat into your life, why not give one of these shelters a call and see if you can meet your next best friend.
