The Guns ‘n’ Hoses hockey reunion tour is coming back to Prince George.

Sometime in the new year, a select group of players from the Prince George RCMP will take on their hockey counterparts from Prince George Fire Rescue in the second annual Sirens Cup Charity Game at Kopar Memorial Arena.

The inaugural game happened last Feb. 25 at Kopar and it raised $3,500, split evenly between the RCMP’s Victim Services Unit and the Prince George Firefighters Charitable Society.

The firefighters won that game 9-5 to claim bragging rights for the rest of the year.

This time, RCMP will be raising money for their Cops For Cancer ride in September, while the firefighters will continue to direct their fundraising proceeds to the Prince George Firefighters Charitable Society.

More details of the 2024 game will be revealed Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at a media conference at Kopar Memorial Arena.

“We are looking forward to working with the Spruce Kings to bring a great game of hockey between the two first responder organizations to Prince George for the second year, with the funds raised going towards two fantastic charities,” said Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, media relations officer for the Prince George RCMP.
