The Iceman is literally in Prince George with cold weather and it could also wreak havoc on the actual Iceman event tomorrow.
Organizers are warning participants and volunteers that the event could be cancelled due to frigid temperatures and cold weather.
The event has a policy in place that states if the temperature is colder than -20 C at start time, the event will not go ahead.
Updates will be provided on the events Facebook page as well as its website regarding the status.
An update at 8 a.m. will announce if the event needs to be delayed by one hour to an 11 a.m. start. Organizers say this is the maximum amount of time they can delay the start because of traffic control as well as venue restrictions.
The final call on cancellation of the event will be announced by 10 a.m.
Should the weather cancel the event, organizers say the banquet will still take place in the evening.
As of Saturday morning (Feb. 9), Environment Canada is calling for temperatures at a high of -15 C during the day with a windchill of - 35 C in the morning and -23 C in the afternoon.
There is also a risk of frostbite.
