Prince George man killed in snowmobile incident

A 44-year-old Prince George man was killed Sunday in a snowmobile collision northwest of Prince George, the RCMP reported this morning. The collision took place in the area of Eena Lake, off of Chief Lake Road. The B.C.

A 44-year-old Prince George man was killed Sunday in a snowmobile collision northwest of Prince George, the RCMP reported this morning.

The collision took place in the area of Eena Lake, off of Chief Lake Road.

The B.C. Ambulance Service and the RCMP went to the area after receiving a call. The collision occurred on an island in the middle of the lake. The victim, a 44 year old Prince George resident, was transported to the University Hospital of Northern B.C. where he was pronounced dead.

Due to warmer temperatures, the surface of the lake needs to be assessed for safety, before investigators can get to the scene of the collision in order to determine the cause, said RCMP.

The B.C. Coroner's Service, with the assistance of Prince George RCMP Traffic Services and Prince George RCMP members, continue to investigate.
