Prince George RCMP investigating early morning homicide

Police are looking to identify two women seen leaving the residence

A home in a local mobile home park is now the scene of a homicide investigation and police are on the lookout for two suspects.

Prince George RCMP said  a woman was found dead in a home in the Sunrise Valley Mobile Home Park off the 3700 block of Lansdowne Road after police were called to a disturbance shortly after midnight on Tuesday.

"Investigators are now looking to identify two women who were seen leaving the residence at approximately 12:30 a.m.," Cpl. Jennifer Cooper said.

Anyone who may have seen the two leaving the neighbourhood or may have surveillance or dashcam footage from the area at about that time is asked to contact Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300.

RCMP’s serious crime unit has taken conduct of the investigation and police remained on the scene as of late morning Tuesday. The home was behind yellow police tape and small orange pilons and markers had been placed along the road in front of the home.

Neighbours said there was no indication of trouble at the home prior to the incident and described the park as a generally peaceful place.

It's the second death in Prince George this year that is being investigated as a homicide. On Friday, RCMP said the death of a woman found in a 500-block 17th Avenue home on February 4 is now a homicide investigation.
