Kamloops Mounties arrested a Prince George woman in Pineview Monday night (Oct. 22) for dangerous driving.

Police say they received numerous complaints around 10 p.m. of an erratic driver on Highway 5 northbound.

As officers were heading to the area, more reports came in that the Ford Focus had exited the highway near Copperhead Drive “at a high rate of speed,” according to a press release.

“The vehicle travelled on Foxtail Drive striking three vehicles before colliding with a residence,” says Cpl. Jodi Shelkie in the release.

She notes the 59-year-old driver, who was not previously known to police, displayed possible signs of impairment.

“The investigation is ongoing to determine if drugs or alcohol contributed to the incident,” says Shelkie.

The cars hit were parked and empty. No one was harmed inside the home.

After arrest, the driver was transported to a local medical facility to be treated for head injuries sustained from her airbag going off.
