The 49th annual Studio Fair with more than 300 vendors at CN Centre is set for Friday through Sunday.

With the 49th annual Studio Fair underway Friday, Nov. 1, the Community Arts Council of Prince George & District is thrilled to announce that a record number of local artists and non-profit organizations will be participating in the three-day event.

In addition to hundreds of local, provincial and national artists and artisans, 18 local non-profit organizations are also participating as the guests of the CAC.

"Studio Fair is one of Northern BC's largest multi-day events with over 15,000 visitors, and we are thrilled to be able to provide no-cost opportunities for not just our local arts groups, but a variety of other groups serving the community," Eli Klasner, CAC executive director, said.

"Our local arts and culture sector consistently shines as a model of cooperation and collaboration, elevating quality of life for our residents, and highlighting Prince George as an attractive community in which to live and to visit."

The CAC is providing more than$6,000 worth of free display space for local groups in order to assist them with their annual fundraising and ticket sales efforts.

Arts groups and community non-profits participating in this year's Studio Fair include Miracle Theatre, Federation of Canadian Artists, The Artist's Co-op, PG Potters’ Guild, PG Woodturners’ Guild, PG Fibre Arts Guild, PG Quilters’ Guild, PG Symphony Orchestra, Judy Russell Presents, Method Dance Society, Coldsnap Festival, Theatre NorthWest, BCNE, PG Share Hope, PG Hospice Society, PG Legion, St. Vincent de Paul and PG Girl Guides.

The Annual Studio Fair runs November 1, 2 & 3 at the CN Centre. Entry fee is $10 and all proceeds from admission go to support the Community Arts Council programs.

Visitors are also encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item that will be delivered to St. Vincent de Paul at the end of the event. For more information and a directory of vendors visit www.studiofair.ca.
