Brett Connolly could soon be on the move in the NHL, or possibly even demoted to the minors.
The Prince George product has been placed on waivers by Florida, according to multiple reports across the hockey world this morning (Feb. 28).
He's recorded three points, a goal and two assists, in 16 games in the altered 2020-21 campaign, recently playing on the Panthers' fourth line.

Connolly is currently in the second of a four-year $14-million contract, $3.5 million annually, he signed on July 1, 2019.
If unclaimed, the 2018 Stanley Cup champion with the Washington Capitals is likely to be moved to Florida's taxi squad or be relegated to the minors.
The former Prince George Cougar and 2009 CHL Rookie of the Year has compiled 99 goals and 191 points in 512 career NHL games.
He hit the 500-game mark a month ago on Jan. 28.
