After nearly six months of closure, a beloved Prince George park is now open to vehicle traffic for the season.
The city made an announcement on social media today (April 19) that residents can now access Connaught Hill Park with their vehicles in wishing to roam around and take in the sun's rays.
This is 'right on schedule,' the city says, and is the latest to open for 2021 following others like Nechako River Park, Carrie Jane Gray Park and Masich Place Stadium.
If you're not familiar with Connaught Hill Park, which used to notably host a wooden ski jump in 1930, it provides a 360-degree view of the surrounding neighbourhoods, deemed by the city as one of its more popular visits.
It features several flower beds, a decorative old mill wheel, picnic tables and outside washrooms.
It's located near the downtown core off Connaught Hill Drive and the gate will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. between now and August.
Pets and alcohol are not allowed in the park.
