The B.C. SPCA is running another promo event this week in an effort to find more homes for cats.
From May 25 to 31, adoption fees are 50 per cent off for all adult felines (that includes the North Cariboo District branch in Prince George, too), meaning $50 for an adult cat (plus a $45 B.C. pet registry fee).
"This spring we have taken an overwhelming number of cats into care through hoarding cases and other rescue situations, so our shelters are very full," says Lorie Chortyk, the organization's general manager of communications, in a news release.
Chortyk adds adopting an adult cat has many benefits: they're calmer and have been litter box trained.
It's also easy to find out what kind of personality they have.
The release notes the B.C. SPCA found fur-ever homes for nearly 10,000 cats and kittens last year.
You can visit the North Cariboo District Branch at 4011 Lansdowne Road.
Before you fall in love with these adorable cats, please remember that you have to meet the cat in person and ensure that you are the right match.
Also remember that the SPCA can’t guarantee the animal is still available for adoption when you arrive at the shelter, as another person may be going through the adoption process.
