Two people made it out safely, but a house fire this past weekend in Prince George has left a hefty price tag.

Just after midnight this morning (April 15), more than a dozen local firefighters responded to a home blaze in the 4400 block, Weisbrod Road in the Hart region.

Prince George Fire crews were able to extinguish the flames as quickly as they could as they were seen coming out of the roof of the home.

The damage is estimated at $250,000, but the cause is still being investigated.

There were also no injuries reported among firefighters that tended to the incident.

The home is just off Highway 97 north across the road from Kelly Road Secondary school.
