One Quesnel driver is dead and another is in Quesnel hospital with undetermined injuries following a two-vehicle collision Thursday morning on Highway 97 near Tamarack Road.
Witnesses say a northbound brown van crossed the centre line, colliding head-on with a white pickup truck. The driver of the van was pronounced dead at the scene and the pickup driver was taken to hospital. The highway was closed for about six hours. Names are not being released at this time as police, coroner and Worksafe B.C. continue to investigate. Any witnesses are asked to call the RCMP at 250-992-9211.
