Quesnel RCMP on lookout for suspect after armed robbery

Quesnel RCMP are seeking information about an early morning robbery that occurred on Friday, March 7.

Police received calls around 5 a.m. reporting that a gunman had robbed the Circle K convenience store at the corner of Abbott and Anderson drives. Frontline officers arrived within minutes of the call, and additional units, including RCMP Police Dog Services, began canvassing the area.

The suspect was not located, and based on the initial information, police believe the suspect fled on foot.

Quesnel RCMP note that the investigation is in its early stages. Officers are gathering witness statements and reviewing video surveillance from the area.

An older Caucasian man exited the store at the time of the robbery and may have witnessed the incident. Police are looking to speak with this individual.

The suspect is described as wearing a blue FILA hoodie with a grey hoodie underneath, black gloves, and a black balaclava. He is approximately 6 feet tall with a slim build.
