About 40 people showed up for a noontime rally Friday in front of Prince George-Valemount MLA Shirley Bond's constituency office to protest provincial government cutbacks and tax hikes.

About 40 people showed up for a noontime rally Friday in front of Prince George-Valemount MLA Shirley Bond's constituency office to protest provincial government cutbacks and tax hikes.

The group included seniors, social workers, students and members of local search and rescue groups -- and looming cuts to gaming grants and social service programs were the common concerns.
