Police are on the lookout for two suspects following a shooting early Monday morning in the VLA neighbourhood.

Called to the scene near the corner of Strathcona Avenue and Upland Street at about 1:15 a.m., RCMP found a man suffering from non-life threatening injuries. He was taken to hospital.

"Initial indications were that two males with firearms shot at the victim and fled in a waiting vehicle," RCMP said. "All attempts to locate the suspects and the vehicle have been negative so far."

However, a security camera caught images of the getaway car and were released by RCMP. It is described as a blue older-model four-door full-size sedan.

The suspects were only described as wearing dark clothing with bandanas over their faces.

RCMP received "multiple 911 calls" of shots fired at the time.
