A trio of people from out of town could be facing charges after Mackenzie RCMP seized guns and drugs Sunday.
It began when police in the community of about 3,800 people 186 kilometres north of Prince George were called to a report of three to four people taking over a Laurier Crescent home, forcing out the home's owner in the process.
RCMP set up surveillance on the house and conducted traffic stops on two vehicles leaving. Three people were arrested and three shotguns, two of which were loaded, were seized.
Suspected drugs and items in keeping with drug trafficking were also seized.
"All three people, who were not from Mackenzie, were later released and the investigation continues. The matter will be forwarded to BC Prosecution Services for review of charges," said Sgt. Jayson Davidson.
