An investigation has determined allegations of unprofessional conduct by members of the RCMP and the city fire department at the Legion Hall on Remembrance Day are unfounded, Mayor Dan Rogers said Friday.
"The investigation findings revealed that city fire fighters or RCMP members were not participants in any physical altercation during Remembrance Day celebrations at the Royal Canadian Legion, nor was there determined to be inappropriate conduct by any of those members," Rogers said during a press conference at city hall.
He said the investigation was launched by the Prince George RCMP and the International Association of Firefighters Local 1372 after the city became aware of allegations from a story in Wednesday's Prince George Citizen.
