Prince George can expect between 5 and 10 cm of snow today (Dec. 28).
Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for PG, and is also calling for a south 30 km/h wind gusting to 50 at times. Today's high is -2 C. The wind chill is -14 C in the morning and -9 C in the afternoon.
Overnight, another 10 cm of snow is in the forecast. That wind won't be going away, either. The temperature will rise to -1 C by morning.
The heavy snowfall is a result of a low-pressure system moving across central B.C. today and tomorrow. It's expected to taper off on Saturday as the system moves into Alberta.
