Vaggelis Louka is going home to where it all began.

Louka has signed a professional basketball contract for one-year to play for NEM in the second division in Greece.

His sister, Vasiliki Louka, recently signed her professional contract to play for Olympiacos, B.C. in the top division in women's basketball in Greece.

Vaggelis is the all-time UNBC leader in rebounds.

"I am excited to play at home, and I am eager to see my growth after the five years I had playing in Canada West," he says. "I am certain the skills and experience I got at UNBC will help me excel in this league."

Vaggelis also played on the second national team in Greece when he was 17.

"Vaggelis watched almost the entire transition period with our team and filled us with promises," a Greek release states.
