One of the best UNBC women's basketball players to don the Timberwolves' green and gold has signed a professional contract back home overseas.

Vasiliki Louka has signed with Olympiacos B.C., a member of the top division of women's basketball in Greece, where the squad has won four consecutive titles in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague.

While in Prince George, the Greek broke numerous records throughout her senior season in 2018-19.

Louka led the Canada West conference in rebounds with 12.7 per game and recording 18 double-doubles.

She also finished eighth in Canada West scoring with 17.3 points per game, while also finishing in the top five in offensive rebounds, blocks, as well as free-throw percentage.

As for UNBC records, she left the program as the leader in school history for points, rebounds, blocks, double-doubles, and minutes-played.

It didn't end there either.

Louka is one of four players in the history of Canada West to record 40 double-doubles in their careers, earning the feat on Nov. 24, 2018.

The three other players Louka joins are Saskatchewan's Sarah Crooks, who played from 2002-07 (a total of 102 games); UFV's Sarah Wierks, who played from 2010-15 (a total of 103 games); and Saskatchewan's Dalyce Emmerson, who played from 2011-16 (a total of 101 games).

She was the first UNBC Lady Timberwolf named to the First Team Canada West All-Star list, while being named the Most Valuable Player for the women during the 2018-19 season.
