Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for Prince George.
The national weather agency says between 15 and 25 cm is expected between today (Dec. 28) and tomorrow.
It's a result of a low-pressure system moving across central B.C. over the next 24 to 48 hours. The snow will ease off on Saturday as the system moves into Alberta.
"Through the Cariboo region, higher snowfall amounts are expected near the Cariboo Mountains with lower snowfall amounts near Williams Lake and Quesnel," reads the alert.
Visibility on the road is predicted to worsen as well. Strong winds are also in the forecast for later today and will reduce visibility further in blowing snow.
Environment Canada has also issued a snowfall warning for Highway 97, Pine Pass. Between 15 and 25 cm is expected.
