Northern sections in B.C. have been hit with snowfall warnings today (Jan. 10).
In addition to Prince George's alert, which took effect yesterday (Jan. 9) at 3:36 p.m., the Pine Pass along Highway 97 north is also taking a hit.
As of 4:30 a.m. this morning, Environment Canada is predicting 10 to 20 cm by tonight thanks to the Pacific weather system hovering around the region.
The same system is expected to bring heavy white stuff to Stuart-Nechako, Bulkley Valley and Lakes District, the inland sections of the North and Central Coast and both Peace River regions, including Dawson Creek and Fort St. John.
There's a mixed bag of weather for the South Coast this morning - snow, rain & strong winds! Here are our warnings: https://t.co/d3lp33wRFW

The north is also heading into a 'deep freeze' starting Sunday (Jan. 12) with daily highs consistently remaining below -20 C.
Sunny skies are in the forecast, but high winds will cause the mercury to drop to those temperatures.
The lows are expected to dip below -30 C each day next week.
Commuters are once again being reminded to drive to the conditions of the roads, especially at higher elevations.
Visibility could change instantly and you are encouraged to check Drive B.C. for more information.
