Mackenzie RCMP are investigating a pair of suspicious incidents reported to the detachment on Sunday evening.
A woman told police she was parked at the junction of Highways 97 and 39 when a stranger in a white newer-model pickup approached her. When he asked her where she was going, the woman did not reply and left the area without further incident.
A short time later, as the woman was driving along Highway 97, a white, newer-model van pulled onto the highway and stopped, forcing the woman to stop as well.
A different man got out and approached her vehicle but the stranger from the previous incident was seen in the van. When one of them got out to approach her vehicle, she drove around and continued on.
She reported the incidents to Mackenzie RCMP shortly before 7 p.m.
