UNBC professor of ecosystem science and management Bill McGill was elected the 2012 president of the Prince George Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday.
McGill previously served as the chamber's two vice presidents.
McGill was not available for comment as of press time.
Prince George Free Press editor Bill Phillips and CIBC commercial banking manager Derek Dougherty were reappointed to the posts of vice president and vice president of finance. Joining them on the executive as vice-president is McCall Communications and Marketing owner Tracy McCall.
Elected to the board of directors this year are Waste Management account manager Cindi Pohl, Chan Foucher LeFebvre LLP partner Corey Naphtali, Deloitte & Touche LLP senior manager Lorna Wendling, Integris Credit Union assistant manager of accounting Sue Peters, Business Development Bank of Canada senior account manager Krista Vocal, real estate investor Dorothy Friesen and NuStride Executive Coaching president Bill Quinn.
