The Royal Canadian Legion’s Prince George branch (#43) is hosting a virtual Remembrance Day ceremony from the city’s Cenotaph in acknowledging the veterans and fallen soldiers that fought for freedom across several wars and events.

At 11:30 a.m., Prince George residents are invited to come to the Cenotaph to lay wreaths or poppies to publicly recognize and remember themselves until 1 p.m.

If you choose to attend, the Legion asks that you wear a mask and follow COVID-19 social-distancing guidelines.

Prince George Legion #43 has been struggling through the COVID-19 pandemic and has set up a GoFundMe page to raise $20,000 to keep operations afloat for veterans and the community.
