Police are on the scene at Prince George Secondary School where an unconfirmed report of a stabbing occurred late this morning.
Prince George RCMP were called to the school at 11:36 a.m. to respond to a violent altercation that possibly involved students at the high school.
“The people involved are young adults and one person was reported to be injured,” said RCMP North District media relations officer Cpl. Madonna Saunderson.
“The mechanism and extent of the injury has yet to be determined. The investigation is in the very early stages; however, police have identified several people involved and do not believe there to be any further risk to the public. The people involved are known to each other. “
The school at 2901 Griffiths Ave., was locked down while police conducted their investigation but that has since been lifted.
No further details were released.
